The short version

Tilt has no accounts, no cookies and no ads. Your games and streak are stored in your own browser. We count how many puzzles are started, finished and shared, without knowing who you are. If you buy Tilt+, your progress can also be synced through your license key.

What stays on your device

Your answers, scores, streak and sound setting are saved in your browser's local storage so you can pick up where you left off. They never leave your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we count

When you start, finish or share a puzzle, the game sends a tiny anonymous note: which puzzle it was, the total score, whether it was played from the archive, and whether you also played the day before. It contains no name, no account, no device id and no advertising id. We only keep running totals per puzzle and per country (the country comes from our host, not from your IP address, which we never store). We use these counts to see how the game is doing and to make the puzzles better.

Our host, Cloudflare, may also count page views for us in a privacy-friendly way, without cookies.

Purchases

Tilt+ and the Supporter Pack are sold by Polar (polar.sh), which acts as the merchant: they take the payment, handle taxes and send your receipt and license key. We never see your card details. When you enter a key in Tilt, we ask Polar whether it is active and store only a one-way hash of the key, never the key itself.

Tilt+ sync

If you have Tilt+, your game progress (which puzzles you played and your scores) is saved on our server under that hash of your key, so the same key brings your streak to another device. Remove the key from a device in the Tilt+ window, or email us to delete the synced copy.

Fonts and icons

The Rubik typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser asks Google's servers for it. Object icons are from Microsoft's Fluent UI Emoji set (MIT license) and are served from our own site.

Children

Tilt does not ask for or collect personal information from anyone, including children.
